Xross Road Launches TokiMake in Japan: Create Fully Voiced Anime-Style Stories with AI, Then Talk with the Characters

Turns anyone's character idea into a playable, voiced story, built to discover the next anime IP. English and Chinese versions are in development.

DOVER, DE, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Xross Road, Inc. today announced the launch of TokiMake in Japan, an app where anyone can create, publish, and play fully voiced character stories, and then keep talking with those characters in their own voices. The iOS and web versions became available on October 21, 2026, followed by the Android version on October 22.

Making an anime-style story with original art, voice acting, and a branching script has traditionally required a full production team. With TokiMake, a single person can go from a character idea to a published, fully voiced story: AI prepares the look, the voice, and a draft of the story, and the creator chooses from the generated options or fine-tunes the details.

TokiMake offers three modes:

- Story Mode: Every story is fully voiced. At key moments, readers make two-choice decisions that change how the characters respond and how the story ends. Each title has five episodes and five possible endings.
- Chat Mode: After meeting characters in a story, users can keep talking with them, and the characters reply in their own voices.
- Create: Anyone can make their own characters and stories with AI. Published works can be played by other users, who can also chat with their characters.

Together, the three modes form a loop: creators publish, readers play and keep talking with the characters they love, and the characters that build a following become visible on the platform. Xross Road positions this loop as a new way to discover IP, and is exploring manga adaptations, and beyond that screen adaptations, of works that gain a following.

TokiMake is free to start. Users spend in-app points on character chat and on AI creation, and monthly memberships (TokiMake Premium and Premium+) are also available.

Under the banner "Empowering IP through Technology," Xross Road aims to offer both an easy entry point to AI-assisted creation and immersive content experiences. English and Chinese versions of the app are in development.
